What You Will FInd Here ...

Join me in my celebration of life and language through poetry. You will find no hint of literary snobbery here. Much like our beloved English ... THIS poet is very much alive, fun-loving, growing and changing!

Beloved David

I’ve never been needy
But I need you
Resolutely
Refused
To be clingy
Yet, I do now cling

My own vulnerability
So underdeveloped
Has me quavering
Childlike
In awe
In fear

Independent
Untrusting
Impervious
Exoskeleton of
“Been there; done that”
Served to insulate and protect

I do wonder
At long last
What I fought so hard
To guard against
Why I battled with all that I am
Against the love
Which has recreated me
As though newly hewn
By the hand of God
An Eve in Eden
I am made
Anew
